PFA Canada announces Cavalry FC goalkeeper Marco Carducci as president

Cavalry FC goalkeeper Marco Carducci was acclaimed as president for PFA Canada following the organization's annual general meeting on Tuesday. The 28-year old footballer had spent the previous two years as interim president.
“I’m incredibly proud and humbled to know I have the support of my fellow players, especially as we continue to negotiate a first collective agreement with the CPL," said Carducci via press release.
"I’m also happy to know I’ll be working alongside a team of active players who are committed to the growth of the professional game in Canada while doing what we can to ensure fairness, transparency and opportunities to grow on and off-the-pitch as athletes through collective bargaining."
Initially elected as the first vice-president to the founding board in 2020, Carducci has helped PFA Canada be recognized as the collective bargaining agent of the players and assisted in the ongoing negotiations with the CPL.
PFA Canada also announced the rest of their leadership group, including: Vancouver FC's Ben Fisk and Callum Irving as first-vice president and second-vice president respectively, Cavalry's Bradley Kamdem Fewo as treasurer, Atlético Ottawa's Manny Aparicio as director and Pacific's Josh Heard as director.
