A social media post by MLS side Orlando City SC has provided an update on former Forge FC midfielder Alessandro Hojabrpour, who was only recently confirmed as a departure by the Hamilton-based club.

Orlando City shared a collage of shots last week from their pre-season camp in Florida. In it, the 25-year old Hojabrpour is discernible. As a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Forge, it's understood that the defensive midfielder had been weighing his options after a CPL career which has seen the Vancouver-native collect three North Star Cups, a CPL Shield and, most recently, a nomination for CPL Player of the Year.

Now, it appears Hojabrpour is testing his talents with one of the stronger clubs in the MLS' eastern conference. Orlando City were contacted but were unable to comment on Hojabrpour's situation in time for publication. The Wanderers Notebook understands that the midfielder is on a trial.

Although it remains to be seen if Hojabrpour will carve out a place amongst Orlando City's squad, it won't be long before he'll encounter his former teammates: Forge and Orlando City are expected to play a friendly match match on January 28th as both prepare for the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
