Sources: Following nixed Norway move, Amer Didic is training with Atlético Ottawa but negotiations remain 'complicated'

Former Pacific defender Amer Didic is in talks with Atlético Ottawa following his failed move to Norway but things are far from simple, sources briefed on negotiations told The Wanderers Notebook.
Photos surfaced on Monday showing the 29-year old Canadian in Mexico for Atlético Ottawa's pre-season. Multiple sources confirmed that Didic had been in the nation's capital, participating in training camp and played in a friendly against the University of Carleton last week before traveling south with the club.
The news comes on the heels of a nixed move to a Eliteserien club in Norway's first division. Previously, it was reported by both TrueNorthFoot and OneSoccer’s Josh Deming that Didic was headed to Norway following an exceptional five-years in the CPL.
However, this publication reported last week Didic was back in Canada. Roster complications at his desired club in Norway caused the deal to fall through at the last minute but multiple sources said Didic is still hoping for a European move.
Although Didic and his camp are actively in talks with Atlético Ottawa, everything is still up in the air; with Norway's transfer window open until April 3, there's still the possibility another club steps up and signs him. Multiple sources told The Wanderers Notebook a deal has not been finalized between Didic and Atlético Ottawa and things remain "complicated" as he awaits to hear from Europe.
Given the CPL's April 1 deadline for cap compliance, it's likely the situation will be resolved one way or another in the coming weeks.
